According to published reports, the Southside Sheltered Workshop, at 3267-B South Crater Road in Petersburg, will hold a plant and craft sale and flea market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 9.
This is a great reason to re-visit Petersburg, if you haven't been to this city in a while. You'll be surprised at how the city is revitalizing itself.
And the Workshop is a great cause! I have been there to visit, a few times, and it is wonderful that such a place exists to provide employment for people with disabilities. They are able to socialize, earn money and feel good about themselves.
